Rob is a specialist construction lawyer with broad experience in the commercial, engineering, consultancy and construction project sectors, with particular focus on major projects (including alliances), construction law, and negotiation/dispute resolution of consultancy contracts.

Prior to joining Greenwood Roche, Rob spent five years working as in-house counsel for two international multi-disciplinary consultancy firms on projects across New Zealand and Australia. Prior to that Rob worked at two large New Zealand law firms. He was a commercial project manager prior to becoming a lawyer.  He brings a blend of expertise from working within the construction industry and in private practice, bringing commercial acumen and pragmatism to provide client-focussed, strategic advice both in contract negotiations and project advisory work. Rob has broad experience in advising across all stages of construction projects including contract negotiation, risk mitigation and management, contract interpretation and dispute avoidance/resolution.
